Due to my mechanical sympathy I can't sit on the limiter, I have to back off a couple of mph.
Uphill the throttle is on the stop.
Ridden like this the thing returns 80-ish mpg (imperial) with the last bar beginning to flash around 100 miles.

yup, backed off some, not to get the surge/slack

Mines doing bang on 125mpg uk pretty consistsantly on a 64 mile round trip. 136 miles uses 5l of fuel

Besides throttle control, the type of terrain you're riding will reflect greatly on your mph. The 100+ mpg I've been getting is on the completely flat roads that are SW Florida. Another big factor in mpg is tire pressure. I advise everyone to check their tire pressure at least every couple weeks, I think this has more to do with improved mpg after the first service than anything else.
