I know, I should have just dipped the whole bike in a vat of Hammerite :D

I'm impressed, yours looks even more neglected than mine.
All of that stuff is cosmetic, it doesn't make it any less useful as a scooter, leave it as it is and just ride the thing. :D

I took most of the panels off in December and Waxoyled the frame and fixings. WD40 and the like keep the swing arm and alloy bits looking as good as new :)

I wouldn't like to have to keep a Harley or Triumph Rocket clean during the Winter though.

I wouldnt say I prefer it all beat up but I feel less precious about it now, if i replaced all the panels i'd just be worrying about where the next scratch is coming from. It also attracts less attention from thieves, where i live isnt a particularly nice area plus I dont have a driveway or any privacy which is why it gets neglected so much. so i probably wont replace anything, at least until it falls off anyway :D

Mine still doesn't have a single scratch. My wife thinks I love it more than I love her.

I won't be sad when it does get scratched though, it is just a scooter. Good, cheap, reliable transport. :D
