Alright, I'm excited for your test
Btw do you ride it in the rain like that?

The hole is on the underside. And 1/3 of my 15,000 miles per year is in the rain. Syracuse, NY USA 13066

Btw how deep should i drill? ( about 5-10mm)
I'm curious also as to the exact drill spot, but I guess I don't take verbal directions all that well.
If it is not too much trouble, maybe you could use Paint to put a circle where the hole should be and repost.

I think it would probably fail an MOT test in the UK. As the exhaust is holed.

Would it work if the hole were drilled, tapped to a known size, thread and pitch, spray zinc, then plugged?
then the plug could be pulled as needed. Say for those heady days at Daytona...
I'll try this as soon as I learn exactly where the hole should be.

The metal of the can is thick enough to hold a thread or two but there is not a lot of room between the can wall and the cat to run a tap in if you do it on the underside of the can as I did.

I see. And I would do it from the underside...
thinking, thinking...

Drill a hole in the correct place, weld a nut on around the hole and hey presto, no need to tap the exhaust ,and 4 or 5 threads for a plug.

@sendler2112
Could we expect your sound comparison today?

I was on a 880 mile camping trip on my CBR250R last week. Maybe this weekend I can get a video up.

Hi Sendler, your photos how you drilled the exhaust are no longer available, any possibility you can post them again or maybe email them to me,

Tx Sendler, did you tidy the holes up or just left it as in the photo

Just left it. It is pretty loud now. I might recommend going a bit smaller.

I didn't see the Honda sketch of the internals of the exhaust , but if I drill a 20 mm hole through the tail end of the exhaust and through the first chamber, won't I get the same gains with a neater appearance?
