Sorry its been so long for me to get back to the forum. I wrote in my last post to you all that I would let you know what happened with my submission to Honda for the machining defect in the water jacket behind the intake valve. It took a long time and a few phone calls to the dealer. The dealer said he would call back with the results but never did.

The bottom line is Honda declined my request for consideration because I did the repair myself.

There are very few, if any, defects that Honda will acknowledge. We had a problem with several clutch bearings being defective on our 2013 pcx. The dealer contacted Honda, and even though this same problem was showing up in numbers, Honda did nothing about it and would no pay for the repairs. Several of the forum members had the same problem and ended up purchasing the assembly that already had the bearings pressed in rather than tear down the unit. Ll you can do is fix the problem and ride. Honda could care less.

Sorry--it's _couldn't_ care less, if in other words you mean they don't give a d**n. And, yes, I agree with that sentiment in most instances.
