Re: New PCX today!
So now it's time to do the graphics… I'm not really sold on this package, but it is typical H2C high-quality and came packed perfectly from bikerzbits, I worry about decals that are shipped in the mail.
The great thing about decals is they come off as fast as they go on ....LOL......until I find a design that knocks me over, I'll probably run around with these for now. Stay tuned.

Re: New PCX today!
Wow these are the easiest decals that I've ever mounted. They lay completely flat using the liquid technique For decals ,and they also have a gloss over them so that it looks like you clearcoated them. … Very surprised, nice mod, well see if i keep it....

GIVI
beautiful day, rode all morning and just mounted the GIVI D1136ST from Revzilla. A few notes:
1. Be very careful with the black coating inside - it will scratch just looking at it. If it gets bad, I’ll flat black it later.
2. Mounting is simple, no surprises, pull grill forward, pop off 10mm’s for the shield and reverse procedure - Again, don't go crazy torquing the windshield down, it’s acrylic. I'll use PLEXUS to clean, great stuff.
3. Mounted it as I wanted less air on my chest and the height is perfect, still see over it perfectly. (I’m 6 foot) You could even flat back the whole thing and have good visibility.
4. Quieted my helmet noise down considerably
5. It balances the front end to back end “look", again just my opin.

Enjoy

Re: New PCX today!
I''m quite surprised you replaced the windshield given the effort you went through to coat it. Will you be coating the new shield too, or would that make it a little too reflective?

Re: New PCX today!
Thx!
Coating is simple to do, i coat a lot of items, lowers are coated here as well. But this shield, for clarity, will get just polymer seal. Cquartz warns against application for things you look thru. I see myself switching shields for seasons its so easy.

Hmm, so probably no go for coating mirrors with that stuff? I'd imagine it would make it easier to clean.
Contrary to the claims, Plexus doesn't seem to repel much of anything including hard water stains.

The backs of the mirrors sure, just not the glass. Xpel film on the mirror backs if youre in it for the long haul.Valiant wrote:Hmm, so probably no go for coating mirrors with that stuff? I'd imagine it would make it easier to clean.

I used plexus on my boat for a couple years I really like it, but you're right it, doesn't seem to keep off dirt and water spots just protects it long-term. I'll let you know how the polymer sealant works.

Here's a product that just cleared Kickstarter and works well.not much to write, this guy said it all

Calibration is easy and note it needs a switched power source. I mounted straight to the batt with a DRL module that supplies power only when running. No OEM wires were disturbed or splices, the way I like it.Completely reversible.

Alarm
http://www.ebay.com/itm/150889937122?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT
Just got this mounted today. I put it under the seat for now to evaluate the product , and wired it to the 12 V distribution block I also put underneath the seat.
It's all self-contained and with four levels of sensitivity and you can set it so that anything sets off the alarm, or less sensitivity to where it will only sound when it comes off the center stand. Simple on/off remote, parasitic draw when armed is very low. Straightforward install, I'll report back

Awesome Thread! I enjoyed every segment of it... You should also consider ordering a new air filter from DNA ( part number is P-H1SC13-01 ). I just installed mine this week and noticed a slight improvement in acceleration right away... I still have my stock exhaust though. I would bet that with your Malossi exhaust, the results would even be better!

Wow, very nice!
Does that exhaust have a catalyst brick inside or does the bike now emit "aromatically"?

Very smart indeed, might pinch a few of those ideas myself.
