The Givi mounting plate and the Honda mounting plate is the same, if that was your question. :)

no the monolock cases fit the E231 mounting plate/ rack.
what you want is the givi rear rack/mounting plate - givi part number: E231

and your choice of givi monolock cases. i have the E370 which is pretty good on the PCX, IMO. it fits a large full faced helmet.

keep in mind that you will have to do some drilling to fit the rack, but it is not a big deal so dont be scared by that! maybe someone can post a walkthrough on that.

has somebody shoehorned a monokey on a PCX yet?

I was under the impression that the Monokey cases fit also. I've not seen it in-person, but someone else on here was sharing a monokey between their PCX and a larger bike (I think it was a Versys). I can't find the post though. :|

the plate that comes with and is designed to fit the E231 is for monolock cases. the mounting plates are different for monolock and monokey cases. you might be able to get a monokey universal mouting plate on the E231. maybe somebody will chime in that they have done that. i recommend sticking with the monolock cases and keeping the weight you load in them down.

Well, I'm after a monokey box because I'm looking for something in the 40L+ storage space.

Ah, yup, that's the one. I'd send that user a PM to ask if the PCX baseplate works with both or if he had to mod it.

He says
the help of a friend from the Netherlands I was able to source the correct vfr topbox baseplate. I married that to the standard OEM base plate and now I have a vfr1200 topbox I can swap out between bikes. The paint is almost the same but not quite, you have to be really looking at it to tell the difference.
So he did have to mod/ adapt it.

I have both monolock and monokey cases. The mounting system/ baseplates are NOT compatible, sorry.

If you want to use a monokey, you should buy a monokey universal baseplate in addition to the E231. I bet it will fit but it would be a good idea to be able to return the stuff if it doesn't.
