Sunny, windy and quite cold where I live. Still snow on the ground from the last big storm. Lot's of downed trees. Another Nor' Easter possible next week. . .will be a close call. I can't wait to get back into riding on a regular basis again.

Re: Spring has sprung!
Yesterday was my first outing here in Chicago land. It was 54 degrees by 1 pm so I rode until sundown. ABSOLUTELY wonderful experience! Over dressed just a tad maybe. I think jacket inserts might be optional at 55.

Re: Spring has sprung!
I took my bike out of storage today and rode it for a short time to make sure everything was working properly. After checking and adjusting tire pressure it was ready to go. It ran so smooth! I added a blinker relay that makes noise, as well as all of the new lights. Everything works like a well oiled machine...'cause it is!! Love my scooter!
Spring has sprung, and I am ready! :-) (Now to get rid of all that pollen. It makes riding less pleasant.)

Re: Spring has sprung!
Luckily, down here we don't have much in the way of pot holes or sand, mainly because there is very little in the way of snow here. Cold, wet, and windy?? Oh yes!!
March has been a wet and stormy month here, but nothing like up north. I keep hearing stories of heavy snow up there. I am not a big fan of snow.
Believe it or not, I have already cut my grass two times within the last couple of weeks. When it rains a lot, we get lots of grass. Then it is a race to cut it before the afternoon storms. Cutting wet grass is not fun.

Re: Spring has sprung!
My Genuine Roughhouse has the loud "clicking" blinker noise (the Buddy's do as well). It's great when going through traffic where there may be a lot of people walking/crossing streets with their face in the phone or mind in the clouds. . .just one little extra thing that may get their attention and possibly help to avoid calamity. You won't regret installing it. Plus it reminds you that the blinker is still functioning as you progress through the turn.I added a blinker relay that makes noise,

Enjoy the Spring riding!

Re: Spring has sprung!
This relay that I installed beeps like the sound that a delivery truck makes when it is backing up, except that the sound is somewhat muffled due to where the relay is located.

Re: Spring has sprung!
It shouldn't take you long to install the replacement relay.
Just take the windshield off, and then pop off the black meter visor cover (that cover over the instrument panel that you might be throwing your gloves on after you get off of the bike) off. The relay is held on by a rubber "grommet ", for lack of a better word. You have to wiggle it upward from each side to get it off of the flat metal post that holds it in place. It only has two wires. Just match where the wires go on the new one. Then wiggle the new one onto the same post, reattach the meter visor and windshield, and you are ready to ride. You don't even have to disconnect the battery. Put the OEM relay in a zip lock bag and store it somewhere.

As far as cutting the grass goes, our son lives about a mile down the road and has yet to even offer to help us with anything, and I am retired and on a fixed income, so I don't have much choice but to do it myself, wet or dry.
