I think that adding a tall windshield is an individual choice, but when I rode my wife's PCX home from the dealer the wind made the ride uncomfortable. We first bought a mid-height windshield but found that it wasn't much better than none at all. We have the tall Givi windshield on both of our bikes now and riding is a joy.
We invested in upgrades for the bikes because we planned on enjoying our rides, rather than just use the bikes as a means of transportation only.

I can confirm that the tall windshield from Givi is really good, although a few ,ore inches would have been greatly appreciated
