Just getting your weather today. It was like London the last two days. . .intense fog and showers. I just checked and it's sunny and 56 F. here right now.

I'm going to start up the two bikes and the scooter and take them each out for a ride to keep them fresh and to avoid fuel system problems. Not a good idea to let the bikes sit for too long and collect dust. I do continue to ride the scooter almost daily until the Winter strikes with a vengeance and it's just not sane to ride.

After that I may drain the oil on the KLR and get it ready to replace the stator. Hoping to finish it this week. I'll take some pics and post them in "other bikes".

Our weather has been like a yo-yo. It is 61° F right now. Streets are still damp from rain yesterday. Leaves collecting in the street gutters. Some of the smaller creeks have had minor flooding.

Tomorrow's high will be 47°, with a low of 30°. Wednesday 43°/25°.

The weekend is a washout. More rain. From the 13th thru the 17th rain, rain, and more ran.

Glad I have parked my scooter for the season.

im glad i rode sunday its snowing again looks like its back to riding the ATVS in the woods at least hunting season ends saturday so ill be allowed back into the woods again

I just had to run some errands. It's 37 F. and the sun is out. Not so bad with the cold weather jacket. I did see some thin ice on some ponds but the roads were OK.

The storm that they were anticipating may hit us will pass to the south so it will just be cold and dry mostly for the foreseeable future here.

Raining here, but hot and humid. Tropical storms on their way and my PCX is fretting because it hasn't been ridden for a while. Welcome to sunny Queensland.

Yes, if I recall correctly the seasons are opposite there, so you are getting summer about now. It felt a bit strange when I was down there, but enjoyable. We were about to head into the ice (Antarctica).

Mel, you probably saw Antarctica at it's best, as the glaciers are melting at an incredible pace now.

What climate change?

Yes, back in late 1974/early 1975 we ended up stuck in the ice in the Weddell Sea, when we were trying to come to the aid of another ice breaker that was stuck in the ice.

Now, as I understand it, the Weddell Sea is melting so fast that it would be hard to get stuck in it.

40 degrees and a light rain couldn't take it anymore so i risked a 5 mile ride all went well

Yesterday was a complete washout. ICK! Heavy flooding rain.

33 degrees and windy took the pcx for a 3 mile ride a guy in a truck looked at me like i was crazy but i just had to ride

I hear that up there in Amish country cars won't hit you if you have one of those farm equipment yellow triangles attached to the back of your bike.

If that works then maybe we can all get jackets with those signs attached to the back.

Did a couple of quick trips today. . .it was 33 F. and very windy.

No other scooters or motorcycles were out and about that I saw.

I think having a paper route when I was kid and having to pedal my bicycle around in all kinds of weather prepared me for adulthood. When it was really bad my parents would step up to the plate to drive me around but other than that I'd say I did it on my own about 98% of the time.

Wind blown rain. . .unseasonably warm temperatures. . .humidity like it's Florida or something. Unbelievable.
