So annoyed!!!! i'll have to check the back one as well as they did that one too....
and that I waited weeks for the Rim Stickers from Italy and now they're going to be ruined,
as I noticed when they put the Tyres on, they mark the Wheel a bit!

It might suck water into the tread instead of chucking it out. You should get it swapped asap.

The Honda Civic badge jars a bit. Needs the flying wing if it's a bike

Yep I know you you, but I love the Civics and that Badge went well with my colours, red is a match with the others I have, and I prefer the H logo than the wings,
I have the wing logo stickers on the sides, but those Civic ones I love, so thought i'd put them on as again, they match the other things I have :-)

Might have an effect on traction - especially when wet.

Are you sure it's backwards?

If the tire rotates so the word "front" is right side up, the arrow is pointing in the correct direction. It would be different if the arrow denoted "rotation," then it would be mounted incorrectly.

The arrow goes the way of the Wheel....
so in that last photo, where it shows 'front' with the arrow pointing to the right of the photo...
that's incorrect, as that would mean the Wheel would have to go backwards?
but the top of that Wheel, would be rotating to the left to go forward, but the arrow it pointing to the right (backwards)...

Visually rotate the wheel in the picture so the word "front" is no longer upside down. Which way is the arrow now pointing? To the front. Remember, the arrow denotes front of the vehicle, which changes depending on the orientation of the tire. The "front" in this case must be observed when the word "front" is in the correct orientation (that is, not upside-down).

Conversely, the direction of rotation is constant, and does not change with orientation.

Your tire marking is for "front" not "rotation."

I checked the back one and that arrow points in the way the Wheel goes..

so as you're saying,
the rear one is correct as when the text is straight, the arrow is pointing to the rear of the Bike?

Picture worth a thousand words... you have made many discoveries by posting this thread. Sorry about your rim stickers bro. Apparently your Michelin citygrip tread should appear like this when installed correctly. As you can see that clearly shows your front to be reversed.

Just went onto the Michelin website and seen this... so it is on the wrong way then... as the arrow needs to point 'the direction of rotation'

Also just seen this....

they have the front text, but the arrow is the opposite way to mine, that arrow is going in the way of rotation,
so mine is actually wrong then lol

Well maybe you can find a sympathetic garage mechanic to spare your decals. I know it can be done because the service that wants my powdercoat job stated they work closely with the tire changer. Because as you can imagine if you let the monkeys loose they will scuff up the rims.

The plot thickens with the picture of the rear tire. Do a web search for "Michelin City Grip directional." Michelin's labeling of these tires causes a lot of confusion. Apparently, the arrow is to denote rotation, with separate tread patterns for front and rear. Putting the words "front" and "rear" next to the arrows causes the confusion.

Double-check with your tire shop and don't be afraid to go direct to Michelin customer service to get the correct answer. Good luck.

In case no one has said already the reason you may reverse the tire from front to rear is the powered rear tire is applying traction to the road where the road is applying traction to the front idling tire.

Well homie got his photo of the front tyre thread, which is the opposite way to how mine it,
and then the photo I found on Google of the front tyre with the arrow the opposite way to mine,
so both of theres cant be wrong, so im guessing mine is... as I always thought the arrow is the direction of rotation anyway,
and then to see that on the actual Michelin website:
On tyres for a specific Front or Rear fitment, the rolling direction is usually indicated by an arrow.
When fitting the tyre on the bike this arrow must be pointing in the direction of rotation of the tyre.
but mine isn't pointing in the direction of rotation,
when it comes to the rear, the arrow points in the rotation and to the rear of the Bike...
