There is an assortment of Mobius applications on the Play Store for Android phones.

We need a Micro-to-Mini OTG cable for our Android phones. It can change settings and act as a the LED screen too. Cool. I loaded the two apps on my LG G3. Now to find a cable. I think I read on somewhere it may be important to get the right cable from the same folks as the camera.

Ok - I went past Micro Center and picked up a Micro to Mini USB cable (B to B, both male connectors). It is pretty cool. Now I can view what the camera is recording from my phone or just watch it without recording. I can also change the settings. If out somewhere on the bike. Both might come in handy.

I blew right over the setup software hyperlink on their website Here is a genus piece of miniature electronics with instructions from a third party forum post (my hacker radar is itching a little) I guess we are married to these remote control aircraft guys now. The only thing I changed was the shutdown timer between video's. I would prefer a full minute to decide if I'm going to start a new video.
Are you getting a class 10 micro card?

No - I went with the Kingston SD/Mobius 32 GB combo. They said the Kingston works best and it is a class 4. They said it was better than the class 10 for having no issues.
My buddy said he has a safety string on the camera when he mounts it on helmet in case the Velcro lets loose which it never has. He sent me a photo of where his Velcro is mounted for a level video. We have the same helmets.
"class 4 is the preferred card for the Mobius." That said I read some say class 10's also work most of the time.
Someone told me the Sony Mini Cam may only do image stabilization for photos and not video. That would be a bummer for the price.

Yes I was watching the RC guys on you tube and they are asking for future models to have a small eyelet to attach a lanyard. Something about losing the Mobius in crashes or midair maneuvers LOL.

My brother's friend just bought this setup. I may need to expand on my xmas wish list. I love the telemetry the quad copter sends back in the HUD type FPV display. A Mobius works too - maybe better.
and here is low tech... maybe there will be a firmware update allowing for 90 degree rotation in the future.

Hey that will work. I just went with the Velcro on top for now like the Grom guy.
For some reason I am only getting some notifications from this forum and SPAM is not catching any. Not sure what's up with that. Probably Uverse.

I found out this morning that AT&T Uverse Yahoo email servers had some problems. Good old AT&T. Everything seems to be working again after my complaint.

They are handsome pigeons I have to say.
Do you know about Pigeons youyou. I don't know exactly where you are from but I do know in certain parts of the world all the neighbors fly one bred or another. In Kuwait for example Sadam's thugs destroyed some of the most beautiful lofts along with the rape and execution of everyone else until we run him back but the Pigeons didn't really make the news My choice were NY flights because they were more likely to outrun the birds of prey here in the forest preserves of Illinois. Miss the birds a lot... somedays
Let's be honest, if I told you where I am from you still wouldn't know
My background would be pigeons and whippets etc. I don't want to give GN2 too much ammunition..

By the way, for anyone interested, I recently purchased an ioGear USB 'stick' (skinny) card reader that allows you to plug in the cellphone size memory card right into it, after which you can plug the reader into any USB port on your computer and it will read the memory card. No adapter needed. http://www.amazon.com/IOGEAR-MicroSD-Re ... merReviews

There is also a STD size SD card adaptor that you plug your micro SD card into, and then plug into any card reader. The kind you link and the one I speak both come with the Mobius Action cam under the brand Kingston I did not recognize either adaptors and thought they were just regular storage devices until I saw the little slots for the micro cards on them I haven't used either adaptor because as soon as you plug the firewire with the cam your comp takes it from there... that easy!
The Grom guy is working on a solution to cut the wind noise on the helmet mount for the Mobius. He sent me a clip and it seems to be working pretty well. I could hear him narrating w/o wind noise riding around his neighborhood. If he perfects it I will post. One thing he does is to surround the internal mic with foam.

I conditioned the battery today by filming until failure... The Mobius logged 90 minutes continuously but presented it in 9 ten minute videos. Not sure why, but going over 10 minutes in a video will require splicing films together. What kind of editing software do you guys use? Not that 10 minutes isn't plenty boring for anything, but I think I have seen YT videos run longer.

So changing the Mobius software setting for video clip length 3, 5, 10, 15, or Max minutes doesn't work?

Oh dude if those are the features I'm sure it does work, I haven't looked to change it since I plan no 10 minute videos. Just noticing it's default is 9- 10minute vids.
