Boy, that old piston looked really bad! It would have been a miracle if the bike ran at all. Good to see that you have rebuilt it into such a beautiful bike.

Agreed. A sign of how engine designs have improved is to look at newer piston designs - and then compare them to pistons from "back when". I'm holding one from a 1969 441cc BSA single that weighs many times more than a comparable new piston. I can't understand how the new ones (that are so "short" with so minimal vertical surface area) don't "wobble" in the cylinder bores. But they obviously don't.

I do wish newer engines retained more flywheel weight - but I understand how magazine performance tests and compares impact sales - and how they don't prioritize the pleasant effects that more flywheel mass has.

lately with the original piston (I do not know the history of the engine from 2016 to the present, but not any note of revisions made in those 6 years and in those 16 thousand km ... hence the piston be like this year in August (2018) before buying this kit of yuminashi the motorcycle started to spend oil (hence the piston being so I think), already presented about 45 thousand km ...
at this moment I am with 51000 km and very happy, was bet right. .. want to see more pictures of what? Only this year I have 590 photos of motorcycle and motor

Or was that a piston from a 441 Victor that you were referring to. . ..???

I might be wrong, but I think the photo illustrates how "short" the piston is - and it therefore makes the piston look like it's for a larger bore when in fact it isn't. It's just sooo "short". Hopefully this makes sense.

At the moment I have the kit yuminashi 164cc, 60mm, maximum speed in gps 132kh, in the kilometros account reaches almost 145kh ..
I also have the malossi inverter with 13.5gr.
however I have to mount a yuminashi variator kit, and the box still longer 13x51x38 .. I'm running out of time .. as soon as possible put some videos
