New York, New York!! Where the heck are the Forza's??
Last month went to a local dealer (8/19) had none. This past week I called another dealer, out east. Spoke to a salesman who replied saying, "What's all this infatuation about with the Forza?" "We had one come in and Go out the same day. I don't get it.....it's just a scooter!" > Followed by laughter and then, "I mean, it's not like some of the other nicer Big scoots out there or motorcycles."
Wow! I thought, does this guy work for Honda? I just wanted to hang up. But....(with tone in voice) I replied, "It Is a new Scoot to Honda and a very desirable one at that! Some folks Prefer scooters over shifters." Salesman: "Oh I know, I know. Well, you can leave me a non-refundable deposit, & I'll put you on our wait list...then call you when one comes in." Not going that route, I will wait and spot check now-n-then. No rush, my WN is near/dear :P

Meanwhile, back at the "Forza folk chat house"....are you guys loving those bikes or what! Very happy to see them All and hope you continue to enjoy them and post onward. Cheers, they are just lovely :D

My dealer got in one regular and one ABS, and they were both out the door within a week. He told me he's been having issues with Honda not supplying them with enough product (don't know if PCX's are included), and that as slumped as business is for him, he'd be doing fine if he could get inventory on what he knows he could sell. I haven't even seen a Forza in person yet.

Madness.
The way it works in the UK is that you go into the dealers, fill in an order form, the dealer phones Honda, asks when delivery will be, tells you the delivery date and it arrives on that day.
From filling in the order to riding out the door was about nine days and could have been quicker but I had to wait for a day off work to collect it.
Really enjoying riding it, a big improvement over the PCX.

Interesting that the All new Forza bodywork actually dates back to 2007.

The bodywork you refer to is the previous 250 and not the new 300, which very definitely is all new.
Old 250
New 300

Honda changed the nose a bit from the 2007 Forza and increased the bore from 68mm to 72 among other updates. The "new" Forza seems more evolutionary than it is hyped as being all new.
.
I wondered where the seat and running boards came from which seem to be a step backwards for tall riders from the PCX. Maybe because the design actually preceded the PCX by many years.

Whitenoise. You can try Champion Honda in Hicksville. They have had Forza's since August. I haven't taken my cycle course yet so I will be waiting until the Spring to buy. Good luck and I hope to see you around the island with your new Forza!

The 300 has a completely new frame, a completely new engine, a completely different transmission, completely different bodywork and a different size front wheel.
The only thing it has in common with the previous one is the name.

When did production on the new 300 Forza begin?

The last Forza news release on the Honda site was on 2007 for a 248 cc engine.

The new to the US Forza sports a 279cc engine. So, between 2007 and 2013 a new updated Forza was introduced.

According to this: http://www.honda.com/newsandviews/artic ... id=7199-en, May 2013 looks like the start of the new Forza as a 2014 model.

The Forza NSS300 was announced in late 2012 and was on show at EICMA in that year.
I started a thread on it on another forum on 12 Nov 2012

Really, in Hicksville? I've stayed clear of that store because I wasn't fond of their salesman's lack of interest in scooters when I checked in looking for a PCX. Is this reaction by salesman on scooters contagious in NY? Thanks for the tip, appreciate it. Hope spring comes along fast...geez it's fall already! Glad to hear you're planning to take the MSF course. Good start! Are you on the Island too? No need to be specific, it's okay (one can always PM another ;) cheers!
