After some protests from her that I am weird, I set up the hammock on some existing poles.
It was a great lunch spot!

Mike, I love love these pics! You've got such great places to ride.
Your photos have me smiling. Great to see a "Daddy n Daughter Team" so Happy together - having Fun together :P

Now, I have a question(s)....
1) Please tell me (us) about that junkyard fence behind you (sorry, I didn't know what else to call it).
I see a variety of objects. Where is this and why the "junk?" Did you add to it?

Hmm...that reminds me, Isn't there a fence somewhere on the globe where folks put locks on it? To seal their love for one another? Or something like that?

2) Why are poles standing in the middle of nowhere? Or are they in a campsite (of some sort)?

That's it for now. Keep on enjoying each others company and be safe

I have a question. Both bikes appear to be 2013 model PCX 150s. how were you able to find two that are alike?

Love Locks - There are actually a number of places like that, including the Brooklyn Bridge. See this Wikipedia articles for details.

Paris started it all, but has since removed the bridge sides with the locks still in place.
Too much weight - + it was being over done.
Lots of copycat cities.
The Paris "No Pants" day is catching on nicely though.....

Well that makes sence, the junkyard fence! it is covered mostly in padlocks and a few other trinkets.
I did not add to it. I needed my locks to deter thieves.

The poles in the sand are by the seashore, it is low tide now. Somebody put them in, and they are very sturdy. Perhaps to tie up a small boat to as there are plenty of homes along the shore.

I bought my first 2013 PCX new in the summer of 2014. It has been such a great scoot and my daughter, now 16 wanted to start riding. I watched the used adds for another PCX scoot. The same bike came up for sale in my town, Nanaimo. The person who had it just did not ride it the way they thought they would. 2400km and it had never even seen the rain. Since my bike has 42000km on it and is going strong. I just grabbed it knowing full well that it would last her a super long time.
My co-pilot in training already has 5900km on it.

Good for her! Before we had our accident I couldn't keep my wife off of hers.... nor did I want to.

After the accident it took her quite some time to heal after the shoulder reconstruction, but it took a lot longer for her mind to heal. She was so afraid of having another accident that she talked of selling the bikes.

Finally her confidence came back somewhat and we have ridden some, but no where near as much as before. Rain is one of the deciding factors. Heat is another. Traffic is a third. Who knows what the fourth reason will be. I will ride in anything. She won't.

Thats tough Mel46, I hope over time she overcomes her fear. Perhaps just some short jaunts around a block or two, to start. Kind of like learning to walk again in rehab.
Something to get some, or bring back some, fond memorys. Life is too short to be held back by fear.

Heavy traffic is one thing but this is definitely multidimensional (which way? how many lanes are there really? cross walks not!) adding to potential fear and bad dreams and a ringing in your ears from all the horns. o_O  8)

No thanks! Even using his horn, he was dodging bicycles and people, and all sorts of traffic that didn't have a particular lane. It is bad enough when traffic is generally flowing in the correct direction, and generally obeying the law. Don't add cows to the mix, or people just wandering around in the street. UGH!

Don't forget the occasional elephant too!

In the end it all works out as they say. . .. ;)

Returning this morning from a 200+ mile round trip to get my 600 mile service.

Yes, I could have had it serviced locally but this is way more fun.

Of course it is! Riding is much better when you have a destination, even if you make up the destination.

Signs of Spring (besides Robins) 8)
Been awhile since I spotted a hot rod in the hood. The one pictured below I saw at the Bank today. I spoke to the owner, who admitted he was 81 then proudly added that he's owned it for the past 20 years. His deceased wife designed the interior. The Bucket Seats were done in navy cloth with white piping and in very good condition. Not in leather.
He apologized as I peered inside saying it was messy with things strewn about. Not so bad really.
I noticed the floor shift was silver and that it was unusually tall. Atop was a black shifter ball, nothing fancy...very plain.
I will say it was odd to see the clutch in the "middle" of the drivers floor well.
Before I knew it he was getting inside starting her up. I had more to ask, but he seemed tired. His parting words were..."did I mention that this is a "Willy Hot Rod Coupe, made by Jeep?"
Puzzled, I grinned and said no. He left the parking lot rumbling then put the peddle to the metal and the metal to the floor. Tailpipe Smoking as he roared away 8) Saweet
