May the hamburgers and hot dogs reign supreme across the land this holiday.
Will a new record be set at Nathan's on Cony Island? We will know in just a few hours. It's all about the water . . ..
And back to the food . . . circa 2019.

And this just in:
FWIW Joey Chestnut beat his "all time record" today and consumed 75 hot dogs and buns in the allotted time at the Nathan's 4th of July Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island, NY.
The winning female competitor . . . Miki Sudo . . . also beat the standing woman's record by putting away 48.5 hot dogs and buns in the allotted 10 minutes as well.
A round of applause for their victorious accomplishment in the "eating arts".
But now the day rolls on and the sun gets lower in the sky. Time to relax and partake, or imbibe as some would have it . . ..
No more road travels today on the scooter. Just travels down memory lane . . . living in the past when nobody cared about a mask.

I think I built a crystal radio from some kind of electronic kit when I was a kid. Clipped the antenna end onto the sink faucet to see if it would help bring in something . . ..
More hits from the days when you never thought a world without Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Mercury, and Plymouth would ever exist. How could production lines that turned out Firebirds, Cyclones, 442's, and Road Runners ever cease? And what about those AM radios with the FM converters you could install at home. Which takes us to Radio Shack. Wow . . ..
