So, I found this YSS front fork spring being sold by bikerbitz.

Has anybody tried using this? What improvements on my front suspension (if any) will it do?

I know a YSS upgrade kit with PD valves and preload adjuster (photo below) is also being sold but buying just the spring is a lot cheaper. What difference will the PD valves and the adjuster make?

I don't have experience with that exact system, but I put a similar one on my old Ninja.. the preload allows you to adjust the sag settings, while the valves allow adjustment of the damping forces on the front end. Ever ridden in or seen a car with blown shocks? That bounciness is a lack of damping.

Here's an explanation:

by you you
You could try the spring and go up a few weights in fork oil to help with the damping?
