Nothing beats a tripod for night shots....

But a recycle bin can shoot a clear shot, too.

Folding tripod case fits just right on that little front hook they gave us on scooters.

I have seen some amazing small tripods that have legs that can be extended quite a distance.

I have an old aluminum tripod that I took to the Antarctic with me. Those legs could extend to put the camera at eye level. When I wasn't on duty... which was not very often down there...I was able to gets some very nice slides. They did not have digital anything back then, so I would have to keep my camera in my parka until everything else was set up.

Unfortunately, those slides have been sitting in a box now for over 40 years. I am sure dust has settled in them now, which is almost impossible to remove on slides.

Dig them out. I’d love to see them.
