Thunder Beach

Its Thunder Beach M/C Rally here in Panama City Beach. Sorta like Sturgis, but by the seaside! There are thousands of bikes of all shapes and sizes here for the 4 day festival. We went around many of the exhibits today on our Hondas and even took part in a Poker Run! It was a hoot, especially as my PCX was the smallest bike in a herd of Harleys. I actually got a bunch of Harley folks asking me all about the PCX as they all thought it would be ideal for their kids.

Nice riding weather too - been about 78 all day.....

Anyway - had to post pics of the Hondas playing with the big boys:

by you you
Ideal for the kids. How rude.

Over here Harley riders aren’t in the demographic to have kids. ;)

ideal for their kids..
I would also take that as snip remark.. Thats why I never go to M.C. events.. especially a Harley crowd and their attitude towards step through motorcycles..Yes they are motorcycles according to law, except they don't shake you to death nor make enough noise to wake up the neighborhood , nor do I need a bandana .

Actually you are all reading it wrong - definitely not a snip remark as it was me who said that, not them (bad phrasing on my part) - the folks here have been a very nice crowd who welcomed our PCX and Forza everywhere we went. Several families were admiring the PCX and thinking it might be a good starter bike for others in their family, which I totally agreed on, but apparently not by a few here. Nobody was actually dissing the PCX as a kid's bike, like most of you are dissing the Harley folks. Many of the big bike riders were very impressed by the Forza, as most had never seen one.

Hear, hear . . .. :geek:

Let us raise a glass to all the riders of the world . . . may they be part of the solution to fight Global Warming and do it with a mile wide grin! :D

Long live the ride . . . long live the destination. 8)

That red Forza stands out as the best color of them all!
What a nice scooter.
Honda Red!....so glad we got that color here in the States.

We have recently noticed the disturbing noise of Harleys in our little neighborhood as new neighbors move in. Now, instead of just our little PCXs riding quietly through the neighborhood as we head for the main roads, there is thunder at all hours as multiple Harleys head out in the early morning and return after night fall. It disturbs our dogs.

I think they have every right to live where they like and to ride what they want. That's life. We retired and moved into a very quiet neighborhood and thought life to be idyllic. Now new neighbors behind us have 4 noisy kids in their back yard. Their dog also barks a lot - ours do not. Life goes on and we deal with it

Boy - I used to think that big bike riders were a harsh bunch. Obviously I was wrong!

I use to ride a Sv650 and by mistake put on a loud aftermarket full exhaust. It was made by M4. It was a health hazard to your ears even with earplugs. I wonder why any rider would ride with those loud pipes. You annoy neighbors and damage your hearing.

I was able to find someone with wanted those evil things and he give me his quiet Hindle pipes. I got very lucky as I had sold the stock exhaust.

Nice photos! Sure looks the perfect day in Florida Limey, and I can certainly See both your Reds sitting purdy among the other two/three wheelers.

Me, I did not misunderstand you. Agree Harley folk ain't bad, I've been among them in Northern FL. Just like any big group anywhere...There's always a few that ain't happy. No matter where they go they be bitter, make faces, snicker - not new news to me - But who cares? We just take a step to the left, or right, back or forward and hang out with the Happy.

Glad you two got out and had some Biker Fun!! And thanks for sharing those pics. Cheers to Riding!! 8)

Great pics! Thanks for sharing.

When people start adopting a neutral perspective on things and simply observe, process and move on....judgement ends. That's part of maturity and wisdom. :)

Anyway, I do like the color of the 2020 PCX. It doesn't appear as bright as the images I saw on the Honda site. It looks more like a candy apple hue. The Forza is the brighter red of the two, clearly.

Actually our PCX is a 2016 US model.
