100,000 km out of front brake pad

I replaced my front pads on my 2014 Forza 300 even though I had a fair bit of life left after 100,000 km.

I keep a spreadsheet of everything I do on my Forza. I need to double check it to make sure of the 100,000.

I had a hard time to get the new pads in. I ended up bevelling the pad to get it started. I need to find a real mechanic.

I am really easy on the brakes most of the time. I lift and coast to a stop most of the time. I also do a lot of long distance riding with very little brake use required. I do test the ABS regularly and it works.

I passed my mechanics course but realized I was not good enough to get paid for what I do. I also realized I make too many mistakes to put other people at risk. I have some documented brain damage and it has gotten worse over the 60 years.

How long have the back ones been on now?

My current 2014 Forza 300 brake pads have about 10,000 km on them with lots of life in them.

My previous pads had about 12,000 km on them when I returned from the Yukon. When the swingarm bolts fell out the thrashing around damaged those pads so I replaced them with the current set.

The pads before my Yukon trip were replaced at about 20,000 km.

Today I went on a timed ride. I had about 5 hours before dark. I went two hours north with a coffee stop in Boston Bar. I ended up in Lytton, BC. The Canadian Hot Spot in summer.

I walked around looking at the old houses. A guy in a pickup came to inquire how I was. My beard and scruffy Olympia riding suit scares some people, $700 at fortnine.ca

The white helmet and lime green suit scares other people.

I scare myself on a regular basis.

It was a really windy day and the Forza got shoved around a bit. Exciting!
