Owned a couple of Honda bikes while wife and I lived in San Antonio during my combat medic training at Ft Sam Houston.
Was thinking today about the bikes I saw during my visits to the dealership.
So many years later these are the bikes I remember.....in the same colors, I think.
Triumph Trident, BSA Rocket 3, BSA 441, and the superbly sexy Norton Commando in bright yellow!
Wish all motorcycles still had seats like these. (much safer for the wife back there!)
I loved both the economical* Hondas (one was stolen) and we relied on them as our only means of transportation.

I had already said to myself, "Every one of them has a flat seat", and then read your comment.
Ah . . . those were the days.
The machines back then had character.

The first 4 are '69-'70, I had a several 441-VS and a Commando 750-S model like those. The red Norton is a '75 I think (850 with electric start).

High pipes on the Norton are cool, but silly.
----Like you're going to take that bike off-roading!
Honda was doing the same with some of their bikes.

My Honda CL350 had high pipes and I took it on mud and dirt roads. It was a fun bike.
I had a friend who loved his Triumph bikes. He had 2 of them but I don't know their numbers. Another friend had a big Truimph Bonneville 650. He couldn't take it off of paved roads, but it was fast on paved roads. It left most of us behind.

More great vintage bikes . . .. Seen at the Kop Hill Climb of 2015. Quite a history there.
The video runs almost 10 minutes but worth it (IMHO).
