Hello friends,
My name is Diogo, and I drive a PCX 125 2018.
I am 29 years old, live in the city of Porto in Portugal (That little country in the western point of Europe). I love dogs, bikes and cars by that order.
I bought my PCX in 2018 and it is my first motorcycle. At first i bought it just to enjoy the occasional weekend ride with my wife, but since I changed jobs and moved into the city I have been also using the PCX as my daily commuter to work.
So far the experience as been awesome. I really enjoy ridding the bike and also it is very cheap to run and a big advantage in a city where the traffic is chaotic.
Accessories:
1 - Topcase Givi E340 monolock (34 liters).I bought it used but it was in very good condition, and it is essential for me for storage and for my wife for comfort (she feels safer when ridding with the back support).
2- Taller windscreen Givi 1129 DT (60 cm tall) and had to buy the D1163 fitting kit.
Review of bike and accessories:
- Bike is very smooth and confortable. For the passenger is not so confortable after a long ride (+ than 200 km) and also when hitting holes the passenger really takes a hit.
- Fuel consumption is very good, I usually get between 2.0 and 2.3 (litres/100km) depending on my driving.
- Top speed is around 114 Km/h, confortable highway speed for bike and driver is around 100 km/h. If i get a bigh hill top speed goes down to 90 km/h. (My weight is 75 Kg and I have 1.79m).
- Despite being almost new the bike has some vibrations coming from the front plastics bellow the speedometer, noticeable when launching slow.
- This week the bike reached the 8000 km, and so far no problem.
- First month of usage i noticed that when braking with rear brake the bike sobbed. So went to honda dealer and they replaced the rear wheal, it was defective. The problem got solved. Warranty
covered it.
- The storage room below the seat was a disapointment, because it does not fit a full face helmet, only a open helmet.
- The stock tires (Michellin city grip) are very good both in dry and wet and really wet (I ride all year, even in the winter and here it rains a lot).
- Top case is capable of fitting my modular helmet (full size M) and some clothes.
- Taller windscreen was a disappointment. The air is diverted from your chest to your neck and helmet. But now, the air I get in my helmet is turbulent, so I got an increase in noise and disconfort.
Also, the main point of the windscreen was to protect from cold, but since the air goes to the neck area is not that good. I ordered on ebay an windshield extension like adventure bikes use. I am not
sure it will work or about aesthetics, but it was 10 € so worth the try.

Hope you enjoyed, and have a nice day
