Hmmmmm, nice, but, when a belt drive cvt scooter is trying to climb a steep hill, I usually smell the belt burning.
For the fields or gravel drive way it's ok

Tire is not street but obviously not a real dirt tire either. I think I am more excited about the ct125.

I seriously thought about a new PCX since it seems the seat comfort has improved and a few other features. But if the ADV 150 is brought to the U.S., the front and rear disc brakes and better suspension would be a big selling point to me.

It will be interesting to see how they are holding up overseas and what owners think about them after a couple of years of ownership.

I’ll be very interested to see what the price will be..... Knowing Honda they’ll price it at 4K or above, which I’m not sure makes it worth it over a PCX. It’s just an extra disc, some good shocks, and a bunch of plastic that’s changed…

I saw a review on the ADV 150 done last December . . .. The video was almost half an hour. But these are some of the points that were brought up.

The rider was 6 ft.. He claimed it would have been better if the seat went back further but he could deal with it. There is padding.

The stowage bin in the leg shield has a bit of a flimsy hinge and you have to learn to "push" it closed . . . not slam it closed. I'm pretty sure it's still got the charging port.

Also, the hinge set up on the gas tank lid is a bit flimsy also. Just plastic but gets the job done.

You can raise or lower the windscreen by pulling left and right on two knobs and moving the screen up or down.

He would have preferred that the mirrors were more robust and round . . ..

The suspension was a bit spongy.

You can get a "half helmet" (or I'm thinking maybe 3/4 also) under the seat and close it OK. A FF helmet won't fit.

The new ADV 150 can do some light "off road" adventures but is still basically a "street" machine.

It is a nice design, looks good, still gets great fuel economy. Overall a nice machine.

The Asian version gets some kind of E.S.S. emergency stop signal (automatically turns on hazard lights) light flashing on the back when you really break hard in order to alert those behind you it's a serious stop. Not sure what any North American version will get as far as E.S.S. goes.

All those shortcomings can be dealt with by getting aftermarket parts, such as adjustable shocks, or by being careful. It is unfortunate that I am too old now to go out on it, so I will miss out on the fun of upgrading it to make it more "user-friendly".

Buying one of those is not meant to make the rider a dirt bike "specialist" or to give the rider the same thrills as a true dirt bike would. It is a fun scooter that can manage unpaved roads. Out in the country I am sure there are places you would have loved to take your scooter, but you knew it could not handle the unpaved road.

I knew some people who drove to work at the factory every day, but came home to their farms each night. They drove pickup trucks, and anyone coming to visit was advised to have one as well. Maybe a Honda ADV 150 would have been ideal for their kids to take into town. Dirt bikes do not handle well on public roads. That is where adventure bikes come into the picture. They can do both but are not meant to be strictly one type or the other.

Still has rear drum brake. Ugh! Well, PCX150 or ADV150...same bike with better suspension, and kind of better tires...maybe.

FYI, my 2022 ADV150 I can fit a full face LS2 Stream helmet under the seat no problem. The USA manual that came with it is minimal compared to the Thailand version, which shows how to do many maintenance tasks. I found the Thailand version in English. I like the bike very much. I have not owned a motorcycle since 1979. I am getting over 100 mpg so far for over 400 miles. It was very important to me that the bike meets the latest Euro5 pollution standards. I wonder if people doing mods on the bike are compromising those specs. I don’t believe the Honda engineers are idiots so I wonder if the available mods are advised. Just wondering. I am concerned that the Honda dealers in my area know almost nothing about the bike. I doubt their mechanics have been schooled on it. They barely knew how to start it when I picked it up. I believe I can do most of the maintenance tasks myself but if I run into trouble I am not sure what I will do.

Nobody is compromising those specs… All the mods here are just additions to baggage, cell phones etc. nobody’s really messing with the PCX engine.
