Installing a new ignition after theft attempt!

Hi there! My recently-inherited and beloved 2011 PCX Tristan got real bashed up recently when some folks tried to steal her- so I'm using the damage to her as an opportunity to learn about repair and maintenance! Having stripped her down, the fundamental problem right now is the ignition- when the thieves tried to hotwire the bike, they pulled some wires out from the socket leading from the ignition barrel to the wiring harness.

Now at first, I (very silly-ly) tried to re-solder ignition wires back in place without realising the missing socket was what I needed (I know, bad mistake). What I achieved doing this was melting the plastic socket (I think it's called a crimp maybe? Excuse my ignorance) somewhat, as you can see below.

Image

Flash forward a while, and I realise my mistake, buy a new ignition barrel, and try to plug it back into that half-melted socket. It clicks into place well enough, but the bike won't turn on. I've charged the battery and made sure it's properly connected, but still no dice, not a sign of life in her.

Any advice on what I should do next? Is it worth trying to order and install a new plastic socket-boyo? I'm not sure what the problem is right now and feel like I'm bashing my head against a brick wall here!

Do you have a wiring diagram?

These are screenshots so I can't get better clarity. Sorry.
