Hello, I'm a PCX newbie as I have recently purchased a 2012 PCX 125. I'm needing to replace the front fork seals and was hoping someone could enlighten me on the recommended oil level in the forks? or one better if someone could point me in the direction of the service manual for this bike that would be amazing!!

Hi and welcome,
I am going to do the same job for the first time (ordered some Castrol fork oil 15w) and in accordance to many youtube video review, more convenient way seems to gently remove the internal spring without spilling any of the old oil, measure how deep in millimeters the oil level stand from the top border, and after that, remove all the dirty oil inside and refill up to the same previous level you got before. Eventually to remove any excess, insert a piece of kitchen paper :)

Not really sure for the Pcx125, but should be around 122ml oil per fork, but better wait other members with Honda Manual and more experience.

Cheers,
Adrian

Thats what I do. Also leave the forks to drain upside down overnight standing in a container. Err on the side of underfilling

Back in the day when I bothered about such things I remember there was usually a height measurement to fill to given in the manuals.
Quantity wasn't as important as getting the height of the oil in the tubes correct.

Yup, use fluid level rather than the amount.

Thank you for all your responses!
TheDoors & You You - That would be the ideal solution but unfortunately both my forks have leaked so that writes off this method, at least for this time.
Limey - Thank you for the screenshot! Reading around most manufacturers try to stick to around 100mm+/-25mm from the top. So 75mm probably is right. I wonder if they used the same forks on the 150 as the 125?
I think oil level rather than quantity is the way to go.

FYI - After a little research with the fork part numbers it appears that Honda did infact use the same forks on both their 125cc and 150cc PCX.

SO... Thank you Limey, looks like 75mm is the correct level measurement.
