I put the oil filter screen in backwards - What should I do?

I bought a used PCX last summer and decided to do my very first oil change back in October. I just now realized that I messed up. I hope I don't get bashed too hard for this haha.

I've been watching maintenance videos for the PCX lately because I'm coming up on my 2,500 mile service and I stumbled across an oil changing video. I watched how the filter was put back in and I realized that I put mine in backwards. I know the previous owner did his own oil changes and apparently he put the filter in backwards too (I put it back the way I found it).

The rubber seal was a little crushed, but I managed to fit it back in and didn't think it was an issue since I didn't have any leakage. Should I drain the oil again and replace the filter as soon as possible? I'm hoping there's no damage to anything inside because of this. Where can I buy a new oil filter screen if I need to replace it?

I wouldn’t be concerned it’s just a screen anyway not a real filter and forum members have basically never found anything in it except at its first cleaning. Just get a new one and replace it at your next oil change. I’ve not checked mine since that first oil change.

Anyways - Be careful not to over tighten or strip that large nut - it can be a real hassle.

It'll be fine

Ebay or Honda dealer for a replacement. I wouldn't bother personally.
