Just went to fill up my PCX at the petrol station and when I press the Fual door button it won't open. The seat bay opens fine so I'm not sure what's going on. Is there a way to manually open it? I need to get to work tomorrow and back so if anyone has any advice I'd be very appreciative.

Have you tried pushing on the fuel flap at the same time as pushing the button?

Yeah, I've tried getting a screwdriver under there too and prying it up a bit but it's locked. Gonna give it another go when the weather gets a bit better. Has anyone got a link to a service manual?

Different versions of the PCX are sold throughout the world.

But as far as I know the fuel door opening is activated by pushing a button that is connected to the latch assembly by a cable on all of them.

There have been others who've had problems with the fuel doors not opening on both the 125 and 150 PCX models. Here's a couple of threads explaining their experiences.

Note that you can download the Owners Manuals for free from the Honda website but you have to purchase the Service Manuals. Check with your local dealer . . ..

I have a 2013 model, so it is a bit different from yours, but this is what I ended up doing.

I had to take the black center cover off, which is where the gas cover is, and make sure the cable was working correctly. Then I put some WD-40 on the cable and tried it a few times before reinstalling it. You will need a service manual in order to make sure you don't break any tabs, but it really isn't difficult.
Sometimes the cable does not fully retract, so you have to make sure it is routed correctly and hasn't come loose anywhere.

Thanks for the reply's. Did you need any special tools to get the cover off or is it just a matter of sticking something behind to lever the tabs? Do you know the best place to get a hold of the service manual online as I'm drawing a blank apart from places selling them for £40. Cheers again.

Things changed from older and new models - it's a lot harder to get some panels off the newer ones than the older ones i.e under dash l+r panels and centre panel - the older ones were more of the unscrew and remove whereas the newer ones have panels on top of panels so the need to work mid to front.

Not saying this is the case for your bike, nor sure how best to do it, I just know getting to the CBS reservoir was much easier on the old than my LED model, so may be harder to get to the area and bits you need for this.

It might help if you gave the model of your PCX or a photo of the flap.

Also your location as there could be someone here local who could lend you a manual.

Would you mind going into your profile and adding your general location, please? This forum is international so your model could be a little different than say, mine. Honda modified their bikes for each area they were sold in, in order to meet various government regulations, and even changed the paint colors so that they could only be purchased in the "local" area.

Which brings me to my next request. GREY 2019 PCX ?? Is it a 150 or a 125? Europe, perhaps? How about a picture of your bike? If you are in a different country than the United States my guess would be that you have what would sell in the United States as a 2020 model, even though the manufacture date might be in 2019. As I said, this is a international forum so almost every answer would depend on where you are.

Hi, yeah I'll try to get all that done when I have time. It's a UK bike. I managed to get the door open using a shim I made out of a small piece of metal. The door was gunked a bit from the winter weather or something so after a good clean and some WD-40 it works 50% of the time when I press the button now and the other 50% I have to slide the I'd away from the riders position a bit to get it to open.
