Sloppy Oil Change

Well, it's once again time to change the oil in my 2019 PCX150, and this time I thought I would try to do it in such a way that I didn't wind up with oil drooling all over the centerstand, etc.
Does anyone have any tricks that they use for doing a neat job of draining the oil?

Thanks,
Jeff

Get some tinfoil, double it over for strength and make it into a “V” or funnel shape that routes the oil into your drain pan

Leave it on the side stand, drain, Sit on the bike and hold it level to allow remaining oil to drain, put back on side stand and cap?

Ima have to look at my bike when I get home. I don't recall it being an issue.

Pop a bit of duct tape on the stand. The oil will run down that lovely. Pull it off when finished. Sorted.

There was once a How-to on this forum that addressed that issue. Hee is the essence of it.

Make sure you have a shallow oil catch pan under your bike. Use duct tape to keep it against the centerstand. (I use a paint roller pan like painters use.)
Put a round dot piece of velcro on your centerstand close to the oil drain plug.
If you buy oil in a plastic container, save an old one to use as a funnel, or cut down a plastic milk container so that it acts as a funnel. (I prefer the milk container because it gives my hand room to move near the drain plug.)
Put the other side of the velcro dot on the back of the funnel.
Loosen the oil drain plug so that it can be turned by hand.
Hold the funnel against the center stand until the oil starts dripping out around the plug.
Now attach the funnel velcro to the dot on the centerstand and finish loosening the plug, letting the plug drop into the catch pan.

I also put newspaper under the centerstand until I got more proficient.

That's all there is to it. Hope this helps.

I'm trying that next time, I recently got a siphon / pump 'cause I needed it for the snow blower. Does most of the 800ml come out You ?

It seems to get what is in out. I removed the drain after using it once and nothing came out.

You'll always get someone that says it doesn't get every last drop out. But neither does a conventional change and it doesn't matter a great deal.
