Throttle Clicks Once When Engaged

Hi all,
I bought a used 2018 PCX a month ago here in the USA. Very happy with it!
The throttle just started clicking whenever I engage it. It clicks only once, and the sound seems to be coming from the front of the vehicle. When I put it on the center stand, rear wheel up, and turn the throttle, I don't hear it. I confirmed this twice, during and after my ride.
Right before I started hearing the clicking, I left the break lock on for about 0.6 mi (1 km) as I rode around the block with my sister on the back. I put it on to steady the bike while she hopped on. I went pretty slowly -- about 10 mph (15 kpm) -- for a few minutes until I stopped and recognized what I did. Ugh. Never did that before.
Again, I did not notice the throttle clicking before this. Any ideas? Many thanks.
