Expected Tire Life

I realize that tire life depends on how hard the scooter is driven. What kind of tire life can I expect from the stock tires driven under moderate conditions? Just looking for a ballpark figure.

Front: 15,000 miles
Rear: 5,000 miles
I'm at 14,500 miles.
The original front has plenty life left and I'm on my third rear tyre.
The original rear lasted 4,700 miles and was replaced when it got to the wear indicators.
My second rear was another OEM IRC which did 6,800 miles but perhaps should have been replaced sooner...
The current rear is a Michelin CityGrip which has done 3.000 miles and looks to be lasting significantly better than the OEM IRC.

At about 2,400 miles my rear tire developed a crack on the sidewall so I replaced it with a City Grip. I'm now just under 9,000 miles and the City Grip is wearing less than the stock tire when I replaced it. Front tire has a lot of life in it still. I would definitely recommend it over the OEM tire when it comes time to replace.

I put it into google translate and apparently it's a tyre!
It seems to be an colonial term.

Yeah....Ha Ha. I could reply "What's a Tyre" and get the same response.
Thank you for being a gentleman about this.

1st post, (Hello!) had my pcx125 for just over a year, I use it everyday for the commute (36 mile round trip) and just had it serviced at 7,800 miles. Still original tyres on it and no mention at the Honda dealer of it needing new ones, very impressed!

How extraordinarily odd.

Welcome aboard siplumb! Sounds like the PCX is the ride for You!
My only input is that no one should rely on their dealer for checking tires (wear/condition pressure, etc) or the rest of the bike for that matter. Giving your bike/scoot a "full once over" before riding is a good habit to develop. It's quite possible you do this already, if so....Cheers! Others reading: it takes More than riding gear to "do all that you can do" to protect yourself on/in Any vehicle. Accidents happen, bad tires? An invitation. Oh My!
(Wow....said more than you asked for

)
