2015 PCX Won’t start - need ideas

I am getting my 2015 PCX 150 up and running for the season. It sat over the winter. When I tried to crank it this morning the battery was dead. I pulled the battery and charged it using a battery charger that I have. The battery shows fully charged. Now when I turn it on the lights go on and the speedometer goes through the normal start cycle, but the check engine light is on and it will not start. Here are my questions…

Is it possible that the battery being changed requires me to reset some thing on the engine to the check engine light goes out?

Is there anything else you need to do when you get a new battery?

Is there a way to get a diagnostic code on the check engine light?

Thanks everyone!

By the way, kickstand was up brake lever was pulled in and Killswitch was on. It should’ve started. I have two of these and got the other one started and running pretty quickly.

When you say "it won't start" is that it won't crank over or won't fire up?

It won’t even crank. Total silence when you press the start button. No clicking, nothing…

You need a new battery.

I think Dab is probably right. The cold can kill a battery when it's left sitting. Did you have a battery tender on it over the winter?

If you want to make sure before you buy a new one, you could take it to an auto parts store and have them do a load test on it. Good luck

The most common problem with the PCX is a dead battery. Look for a new battery with high cold cranking amps.
