Will the sat release still operate if the battery was to go dead?
If not how would you open it to access the battery?
Thanks

Got a manual?

Key works on right side under seat.

The button on the dash is connected to the latch by a cable so no need to have power for that part. What I'm not sure about is if you will be able to turn the ignition knob with a totally dead battery. Perhaps someone with a smart-key bike can chime in. Mine is a 2019 with ancient metal-key technology. ;)

Also, welcome to the forum! There's a lot of good info on here if you use the search function. When you get a chance, it'd be a good idea to put a location so we know what bike you have (US spec, Euro spec, etc).

Cheers
Dankly

My PCX 2021 came with 2 emergency keys for opening the seat in case of a battery failure. See attached pic from owners manual page 137.

Does anybody know where I can obtain a genuine emergency key?
