I get 130 miles from a tank. Can somebody tell me what this is in mpg?

You have to keep track of how many miles you've driven since the last fill up. Fill it again and then do the math dividing the miles by the gallons used. For example, 130 miles using 1.3 gallons would be 130/1.3 = 100 MPG. You have to use the number of gallons on the new fill up since that's the amount you would have used to go the 130 miles. Makes no difference what was in the tank before as long as it was full when you started.. Hope you understand the answer. Also the tank should be full when you do the math. Over a few tankfuls you'll get a good average because you may not fill it to the same level exactly each time. Hop that helps.

You can also record your gas purchases at Fuelly - https://www.fuelly.com/motorcycle/honda/pcx150 They will keep a tally of your mileage stats for you.

And you are already close to what you should average. It seems as though most PCX 150s are getting close to 100mpg. Ours has been between 100 MPG and 110 MPG, depending on the roads we take and the traffic. Sometimes we get less than the 100 MPG average but it all seems to average out.

If you fill up every time it works it out for you. All you need to set is if you want UK or US gallons or litres.

What is that based on? I just went to fuelly and found 14 PCX150 riders with ten or more fuel-ups and only two of the 14 were even close to 100mpg and the average for all 14 was 89.7 mpg.

Mine is below average. I would love to get 100mpg. I suspect i don't because most of my riding is +45mph.

I get less than 80 mpg (around 3 litres per 100 km). I'm heavy-handed. Those who achieve 100 mpg must be very soft on the throttle, never exceeding 80 km/h speed. I always ride full throttle when outside city limits.

I like to rev mine off the lights and an not soft handed but still get over 100mpg. I note that my longer journeys usually belting along at 50 plus gets me into 110 region. But that's on a 125

The imperial (UK) gallon = 4.54609 litres
The US gallon = 3.785411784 litres

Are all you guys counting in US gallons?

Obviously the 100mpg figure has to be optimal. If you ride full throttle all the time and have a lot of stop and go traffic it will affect your mileage, just like in a car. If you travel at a reasonable speed on a road that is a standard road, not a dirt farm road, then you should get close to or on the 100 MPG mark. Be realistic. 100mpg is optimal.

So ive done my second fuel up and recorded it on fuelly. I cant work out how to add this to my signature. Ive seen the instructional thread but I dont have a 'share my mpg' on my fuelly page.

Fuelly worked out my mpg as 110 which im pleased with. I mainly use 30 and 40 mph roads, probably more 40's. i would estimate my average speed to be around 37-38 mph.

I have a pcx 125 which appears to be a bit better on the fuel economy than the 150's.

Safer than riding stateside, I practiced in the UK before my trip and found it far too dangerous :-)
