So I came up with an idea to save a few bucks and change the oil on my Honda PCX 2022 myself. It currently has 3100 km on the clock. The first service was done at the dealer after 1000 KM. I now changed the oil and I think that after changing it, I started hearing a slight ticking noise. It can be heard only when the engine is warm and when the scooter is idling. I used MOTUL 10W30 oil for 4T scooters.

If I check the oil level on the dip, I see it right in the middle between minimum and maximum.

Any ideas what could be going wrong? Should I bring it to the dealer? Any help would be welcome.

is it really 1k or go up to 3k ?

If you are mechanically inclined, I would say remove the Variator to see if you can isolate the problem and confirm its the engine and not CVT related but I dont know if you have the tools/experience to do this.
