Hello everyone.

You might want to get a coffee or roll a cigarette for this one. Brief outline. Bought the bike in May 2022 second hand from dealer in Reading Berkshire where I reside. Currently mileage reads 12500. All was well for the first 6 months, Then the dash failed, took it back to Honda who reset the said dash for £90 all was well again. Bike has been serviced regularly every year, the last one I did myself, Belt, rollers, air filter, oil, coolant, spark plug, the usual, again all was well, In January this year the fuel pump failed, Honda stated a new one was £479 +VAT and the old ones are not serviceble, they are.....I took out old pump and pulled apart the housing, (if anyone one wants deets on this contact me its fairly eaasy if your into mechanics) its only held in by clips, measured the pump itself and bought a replacement of Ebay for £22. Fitted said pump rebuilt the pump/fuel sender housing and repalced in bike, All was well again.
Fast forward to end of June, bike was difficult to start from cold, more than the usual couple of turns of the starter from cold, I travel 10 miles each way to work on it daily, no issues with battery to date, this issue became over a week worse, I checked the usual culprit loose connections where you can, charge the battery outside of bike, spoke with Honda, they suggested bringing it in (lmao) no surprise there, i declined asking for advice only, only reply was check plug and airfilter...asking Honda Farnham was advised to look at TPS (throttle position sensor) and fuel injector duely looked at both, TPS seemed grubby so replaced with new one, as with injector so repalced also hoorah it was working again.
Mid July we have the problem returning, difficult to start in the mornings, when it does it creeps down te road at 8 -10 mph then gradually picks up, once warm, the little green A light pops up (I know what that means but never use it on short journeys so turn it of) it runs perfectly, a little lumpy on idle but a little tweek of throttle brings the revs up a bit to normal idle speed. Once again i've checked over things and as far as i can tell all seems ok, i have fuel, the good stuff not cheaper, The spark did look a bit weak, so cleaned it measured gap adjusted, it fired and ran for a day and now as of Monday last week wont start at all. Changed the coil as spark was yellowish, no joy wont fire. i have fuel going through as plug is wet, i have something of a spark, and get this a backfire, which usually means unless i'm mistaken a build up of fuel in exhaust. Ive missed something but i'm old school, Twin carbs, glass spark plugs and timing lights, way to much sensors and gizmos, I have no idea where to go, all seems well but something isnt allowing the fuel to ignite corectly, piston looks ok popped my micro camera in no holes, head gaskets isnt leaking, hopefully you'll guess i'm no stranger to mechanics but as with everone the sun does not shine from that lower orifice, i'm human and make mistakes, so here I am asking you all what the hell could it be???? Ask away

The amount of issues i have had with my pcx is insane i get it serviced every 5k miles because i run it hard engine is solid but other parts are weak.
My pcx wouldn't start and i needed a new wiring harness cost £1800 but it was under warranty.
blet snapped recently as well quality is dropping
