Ignition switch, turning off while trying to lock the handlebars

Hello,
I have a 2022 PCX and have been enjoying it so far. However, there's one thing about the ignition switch that annoys me and I don't know whether it's supposed to be that way.
Basically, when you push the ignition switch (set on O), it locks you scooter (2 headlight flashes) and the switch's LED turns off. That's normal behavior as stated in the manual. The issue is that it's a step of when you want to to lock the handlebars, PUSH and then ROTATE left, sometimes I can't do the latter because the PUSH (not always for some reason) turns off the switch. I would then need to redo the whole thing which is just annoying.
Is there something that I am missing? I've been to the garage and told the mechanic and he said it was normal but I feel that we're both missing on something.
