Very bumpy ride on the pcx!

i love my pcx but if I did have one complaint it would be the rather bumpy ride. I find that if Im riding on a road that is anything other than completely flat, I'm bouncing up and down like a jack in the box! I seem to feel every bump in the road. Is this normal for scooters or is the suspension on the pcx not all that great?

Its normal for a PCX.
If you want to waft along floating on a pillow of air you'll need something much bigger and far more expensive.

Its very easy to check the suspension, if there's any oil leaking out the base of the shiny chrome bits its shagged, no leaks then its fine.
You does need to keep a good look out and steer round the worst of the bumps

You can spend a lot of money on better after market shocks, or just learn to avoid most bumps!

When I ride behind my wife on my Burgman I notice that the center stand is only a couple of inches from the ground on a normal ride. It doesn't take much of a hole to make it hit. The shocks are good but they aren't meant for rough roads.

Not quite true....No need to spent thousands more to get better ride, one can buy upgraded and adjustable shocks from Ebay for around $250. Thats neither expensive nor a big deal...I have rear Yss and they're perfect.

my only complaint about the PCX was the absolutely crap wooden feeling rear shocks. honda put the cheapest crappiest shocks possible on this bike. shame on honda!
i upgraded to some YSS gas shocks for around $250 and am extremely pleased with the results.

Does the 150 come with the same shocks as the 125?

Looking at Them, They "seem to be", but, Our PCX150s definitely have less "sag" than the PCX125s we had. My PCX150 barely sinks any at all when I sit on it, but my PCX125 sank about an inch when new. The PCX150s seem to have a lot less "wallow" at mid corner if ridden hard also than the PCX125s had. I can't seem to find any real information anywhere from Honda on this, and an E-mail to Them, as of yet, is still unanswered. My Buddy Ken, that's the Southeastern Regional Director for Honda USA, is supposed to try to find out for me as of last Tuesday. We were discussing this.....

The rough ride was the first thing I noticed about the PCX--a function of both the low-cost shocks and the relatively short wheelbase. Of course, my last bike was full-size touring Harley with air suspension, so virtually any bike would have a rougher ride by comparison. Just pick your line carefully to avoid the big bumps.
