Hello! Been peeking here last couple weeks. Sold my 2010 Yamaha FZ1 a couple weeks ago and wanted to get a scooter for the wife and I to make our many trips within a few miles of the house--the gym, out to eat, errands, etc. Researched many of the little 150ish scooters and decided on the Honda. I've had a Honda ST1300 and VTX1800 and really appreciate their quality and lack of issues.
I also have a 2013 Yamaha FJR for when I just need to hit the superslab or carry alot of stuff. My hope is my wife will follow through with her hint that she *might* be willing to drive two wheels if it's small and simple.
Got my 150 from a Fort Worth dealer, with .6 miles on it for $3399 ($50 under MSRP) plus tax, title, license. $3765 OTD with no freight or prep paid.
Here is a pic of both of our rides:

And after trying the Kymco Like 200i and the Buddy 125 and 170i, I had almost decided on one of these:

But while sitting on the green Italia I squeezed the rear brake lever, to find it was broken in half. There was a slight rub mark on it, the same side of the center stand, and the muffler heat shield. I decided to go for the Honda. The Honda was also the only one my wife agreed to passenger on a test ride. She thought it was very smooth and easy to ride on. She really liked the retro look of, well, ALL the other scooters, but like many I decided quality, reputation, dealer availability and performance/feel mattered more.
Think I want a taller windshield pretty soon and want to add a Battery Tender pigtail to keep the little guy topped off. My FJR is "Shelly" after Shelly Frazier-Price, who won the women's 100 meter in the 2012 olympics. Need a similarly fitting name for the new little girl.
I've read about the center stand/crank case issue and I'll plan to lube it well soon. Are there any other issues I should pay early attention to?
Thanks!......Jeff.
