Valve adjustment comparison photos

I remembered I took photos of my first valve inspection @ 3500 miles. So I took photos again during my 7500 mile valve inspection.
For the record: valves intake and exhaust where slightly tight at 3500 miles. I adjusted them to exactly within spec. Valves at 7500 miles had not moved. No adjustment necessary.

I never did a 600 mile adjustment. Engine sounded fine to me. In retrospect I wish I did, at least take photos as I will point out here what certain things looked like at 3500 miles. I wonder if it was factory manufacturer design, or something else.

I'm about to hit 8000 miles. And will be dumping the 2500 mile OCI of Amsoil 10w30 motorcycle oil for Red Line 10w30 motorcycle oil. I plan on running that for 2000 miles, as a local store to me just opened and they have fantastic prices on Red Line products, and 2000 miles is about what I estimate before I store the scooter for winter.

And the pictures, lets start with the ones that had me concerned the most.

3500 miles: Notice the impression on the camshaft lobe!

7500 miles: 4000 miles later it is gone, smooth, and looks perfect!

3500 miles: A line on the roller bearing

7500 miles: 4000 miles later bearing is clear of lines, and looks great!

Not entirely sure what point you're trying to make with these pics?
Is that an eSP or the original engine?

2011 Honda PCX 125cc engine. So no, not the eSP engine, I guess it is called the "original."

My point I was making with the first 4 photos was the wear on the cam lobe, and roller bearing.

I've never had a problem with the scooter, Just change oil and the thing runs great! Just pointing out what I found when I first opened the engine, compared to what it looks like now.

Wow, looks great. I love how durable Hondas are. It'll probably still look that good in another 100k+ miles too :)
