Charge card for 1 gallon of gasoline?

I did it just out of habit, used the charge card reader on the gas pump, then saw it on my charge card bill a couple weeks later and laughed.
Yup. I charged 1.16 gallons of gasoline. Hmmm?
Seems silly, now. But in my defense, it was faster than walking into the convenience store, handing the man a fiver (U.S. Dollars), going back to pump my gas and back into the store to fetch my change.
I am surprised there was no extra charge for the tiny sale.

Anyone else guilty of tiny gas charges?

I actually enjoy filling the pcx up as it costs so little although a bigger tank would be much appreciated!

I use a charge card now for everything I do. Today, $1.07 for an ice cream cone at McDonalds. I never carry change on me so why give them two $1 bills and get a hand full of change to carry around. Ninety-nine percent of what I purchase now I pay with my cash card right out of my checking account.

Since my wife has her PCX and I have my Burgman, we travel together and fill up together. It only takes 5 gallons to fill both. Still, that is at least $17.50 at $3.50 per gallon, so yes, we use a credit card, mostly our gas credit cards. Most of the time we fill up when we are half empty, which lowers the cost to around $8. We don't carry much cash, ever.

1.16 gallons in California is about $13.88 cents isn't it. ;) That's worth charging. ;)

Saves me a trip inside... twice. Assuming the pump has paper in the receipt printer.

I'm lazy. I get the wife to fill up a 10 litre jerry can for me when she fills up her car. I top up the PCX at home. Get a couple of fills from 10 litres, enough for a couple of weeks.

I just spent $20 filling up my PCX today!

Well, I also filled up a 5-gallon tank for gas for the lawnmower too, but that doesn't count, right? I did get some weird looks carrying that huge tank between my legs while riding.

I work at a grocery store in the produce section. One day they ran out of cream cheese the the dairy, which was in sales paper, so they sent me to walmart with a hundred dollar bill(was about a week after hiring me, nice being trusted) to pick up a whole case of it. So I rode my scooter to walmart and came back with a case if cream cheese in between my legs

Charge card?
Do you mean credit card or debit card?
I don't use cash these days apart from in my work canteen.
Debit card for everything else.

Hmmm ... now that it's on the top of my mind, I checked about locally.
Some stations now charge more per gallon for customers using a charge card rather than cash.
Some stations charge a flat fee for each debit card transaction and will not accept credit cards.
I bought gas at a convenience store (7-11) that doesn't seem to charge a higher rate for credit cards, so I earned a one-percent rebate with my credit card.
Shhhh ... soon they'll be paying me to ride this scooter!

A lot of the stations here charge you ten cents less a gallon for using credit
