Besides the PCX, i've got a Honda CB500X.....

Really can't fault it, but to be honest i prefer my riding my PCX and for longer trips use the car, so the result is that the CBX spends most of its time under a dust cover......

Very sharp looking, Hatari!
I like the rim tape accent matching the red X on the tank. Well done.
Great looking bike!

Hi guys
Ive been off the air for 6 mths sorting out by biz life. Still riding the PCX each day but am getting close to trading it in for a CB500X. Im 6' 3.5" tall and the Forza is too small for me whereas my PCX fits with the easy humpectomy mod. Anyway I sat on a 500X and it fits me with no mods needed. Just need to get a topbox and tall windscreen. Looks like the Calsci screen is the tallest, even taller than the Givi. Anyone with comments on the 500X? Hello to anyone who missed me!

For me chain drive = no sale
Is there any reason you couldn't do a humpectomy on a Forza?

Hi GN2
Have you any links or images of folk doing humpectomies on the Forza? My quick look at a dealer indicated there were metal lugs that would need to be ground down. Bear in mind its not so much about raising the seat but being able to sit further back where the backrest would be. Easy on the PCX as you just cut off the plastic mounting lugs but it looked hard on the Forza. Another factor for me is I live in a windy part of the world (good for my hobby of sailing) and my commute has often strong cross winds. I think the Forza would be more susceptible to cross winds than the 500X.

I've ridden in 30 mph crosswinds, not a problem.
Why do you think the bike would be better?
Its taller and the weight is higher up.
Modifying the seat...?
I have no links but am sure it has been done.
For me scooters win over bikes, much more practical transport.
One thing to bear in mind about the 500 engine isthat it needs a valve clearance check at 600 miles.
Tyres are more expensivethan scooter ones too.
If you are determined to do the bike thing imo the new NC 750 is a better option.

As of this year Honda has waived the valve clearance check for the 500. You wont convince me to get a Forza. Its just not designed for tall folk. Now the 750 sounds interesting but cant see when it will be available here. When I was young and living in Blighty I had 2 CX500's and before those a CB500T so I have an affinity for 500 size.

I think because up to 650cc is Learner Legal here so the demand for bikes 700-999cc is not great. If you learnt on a 650 why go to a 750 next? So the NC700X didnt even make it to Oz and dont see any announcement of the 750X here either. In any case the 500X is 30kg lighter, has over 3 litre bigger fuel tank and much better range. So Im still thinking of trading my beloved PCX up to a 500X. Good to see QED and GN2 are still active here! Just a shame on all the Forza stuff on what is a great PCX forum ;)

Well I finally did the deal and am trading in my white PCX 125 for a white CB500X with topbox. Also had to order the mainstand as an 'accessory'. Anyone wanting my PCX ermax +25cm tall screen send me a PM. I also got pricing for a Suzuki Vstrom 650 and the Honda is way cheaper and enough power for my commute.

Hi Taz, Im a new PCX150 owner from Melbourne, Australia and am interested in your Ermax screen. Cant PM yet as this is my first post! Im 6ft 3", similar height to yourself so this may help in diverting some of the wind from my chest.

I believe that you need 15 posts to have PM'ing enabled. You could take the quick way out and make enough single word posts until you reach 15 ... but don't tell maddiedog .... oops, did I say that out loud. ;)
