Side view mirrors made of plastic?

They seem to be plastic not glass?

Interesting !
I have noticed how crap the OE mirrors are. Anyone got any fixes? I saw some pics on here of mirrors fixed to the front fairing similar to this ....

I mean.. They could be glass I haven't tried to scratch or beak them, but I was thinking that while I was trying to clean them and they were more difficult to clean than any glass I know of.

i havent noticed as the mirrors on mine seem to be perfectly fine and just as functional as those on any of the bikes i have owned!

I've been using Sprayway Glass Cleaner since the 80's when I learned from an auto dealership that it was the "best" on glass (also other surfaces). Guess what? I agree wholeheartedly, and it's priced for my pocket. No streaking! Can be bought at local supermarkets, chainstores and in bulk online like here:
