The New & Sexy.....KTM E-Speed
Top speed will be just over 50. When fully charged, the range should be just about 40 miles. The price?

All the electrics I have seen have hub motors. I wonder why this one is different.

Less unsprung mass will probably aid in the whole "without compromising on the design and sportiness of our KTM genes"-story...

Don't these cost around $5000? Their new electric dirt bike has a top speed of 45mph and a cost around $12,000. I think I'll pass on both.

The SR looks great, but with a good enough power cell costs near $20,000! As with most electric vehicles, they are getting better with longer ranges but the cost is far too much above normal fuel-powered vehicles to justify them unless you are really rich.

The one negative I see about that bike is the shift is on the same side as the throttle. Didn't see it operate, so maybe it works good. Just seems a little awkward trying to shift with the throttle hand.

Its not a gearshift, its a power setting.
No more difficult than tooting your tooter while acceleratng.

Oh, I misunderstood. Now I feel like those cruiser riders that do reviews on scooters....duh!!!
And I don't toot my own tooter at least not while accelerating!!!!!!

It looks awesome. I know a couple years ago the hubby was looking at an electric motorcycle although I'm not sure which one he was looking at. Cost won out and now he rides a big cruiser.

Great find on the ZEV. I like the performance of the 7100 LR even though you give up some under seat storage for the extra batteries. $9,000 is pretty fair as this model appears to use the bullet proof GBS LiFePO4 batteries which are $4,000 themselves.

I wonder if they have any demos for sale if I were to drive to their shop?
