A beautiful day in Vancouver.

January in Vancouver can be very cold and clear or not quite so cold and wet. Today it was almost warm, crystal clear and was the first day since buying the Forza 300 January 15th that was truly pleasant for riding.

I have almost 300 kilometers on it now and decided to take advantage of the wonderful weather to make a short detour onto the freeway.

As I took the East bound Willingdon entrance, I found myself even-steven with a semi-trailer rig. I twisted the throttle as far as it would go and was rewarded with strong acceleration that pushed me easily ahead of the rig occupying the space I needed on the highway. If fact, the push continued until I eased off the throttle at an indicated 120 km/hr. At that point I was going faster than traffic.

The scooter felt rock solid, competent and safe at speed. As the engine is still new I left the freeway at the Sprott exit and continued to work.

Very happy with the bike so far and looking forward to spring and summer.

We're out in Maple Ridge and just waiting for it to warm up a bit before we head out. My wife has the Forza (and a Honda Giorno) and I have a Vulcan 1700 (we make quite a pair on the roads) :-)

I am finished with dating. My back was killing me after half the driveway...I have finally thrown in the shovel.

Bought another Honda (no, darn it, not a PCX...)

Finished the entire drive. After a howling evening, another 7" came in, and the next morning looked like I hadn't even touched it. My back is thankful, though.
