Bought two new Forza's for wife and myself

Got a good deal here locally and took the plunge and bought two new Forza's for myself and the wife. Here are my early impressions:
Very quiet
Ride is very good even on the the horribly maintained roads here in Denver
Excellent acceleration. Will be testing on a mountain ride here real soon to see how it performs
Storage is very good with plenty of room for what I need to carry. I also use a backpack
Waiting for windshield which is a necessity on this machine. I ordered the one from Givi
Hoping gas mileage lives up or exceeds to what Honda claims. I haven't ridden enough yet to gauge
Overall my wife and I are very happy with them so far.

Why did you choose GIVI?
Please post pics of the GIVI and report back about it.

It looks like it provides more hand protection (wider) and it was a little less expensive than the stock Honda one. I ordered it from here:

I ordered two but they only had one at the time, but one should be here Wednesday and I'll post pics once it's installed.

You are probably right about the windshield...

Looking forward to your assesment of the Givi screen.
You could get a Puig for the other one so you know who's is which.

I like the look of the Puig screen. It looks more elegant than the Givi.
gn2......Do you have one, or know anyone with with a Puig, or have you heard any reports on the Puig?

I don't see anyone, that I can find that sells this one in the US. Price is good, though may take a beating on shipping.
The windshield showed up this morning, so I hope to get it installed by the weekend and I'll post some pics.

The problem isn't finding a distributor of that brand, it's finding one that will order that specific product.
3 dealers in my area and not one carries it. Have to special order.

So I was able to install Givi Windshield last night. It took may 20 minutes to complete. The instructions that came with the windshield were nearly worthless. I used this gentlemen's pictures and instructions from his blog to help with the install. They are very good and made it much easier. The hardest thing popping the clips loose in step two.

Road the bike today and these is my first impressions:
Helps a great deal with the wind which was hitting me right in the chest. This is no longer an issue
Seems to be helping with the gas mileage as the gas mileage meter went up a little more than a gallon per mile on my 15 mile commute. Not sure how accruate that gauge is though since the unit overall only has 85 miles on it
I'm 5'9" and I wished the windshield was about an inch shorter. My sight-line is right on the top edge of the windshield and just a little above it, so I'm looking through it and just above it. So I'm seeing that edge while driving. That may change over time and I may not notice once I get used to it.
I uploaded the pictures from three different angles. Hopefully you can see it as it is very clear plastic.

Does it offer any hand protection?

I curves out on the side and yes provides some protection to the hands. Though not total protection.

I should also add it provides more protection than the stock shield or the larger one that Honda sells.

Rew,
It is normal for the MPG to increase until shortly after the first service, so with the larger screen and the MPG still increasing, I would think is a positive indication of it's aerodynamics.
If it isn't to much bother, I would appreciate a photo head on to see the width and hand coverage.
Thanks for the posts above.

I think I'll revise and say that the Givi windshield does provide pretty good hand wind protection. I always were gloves so I really only notice the wind when it's pretty cold. But it does keep the wind off pretty well. Here are a couple shots from the front and the back. Hopefully you can see them well enough as it was really bright out this morning.

Welcome rew to you and wife...a Happy Congratulations! Bikes are lovely and your "wife's" new Givi screen looks like it will serve great coverage!

That is.... if you let Her sit on it and see where her eyes look? Over screen, thru screen or at top edge where you mentioned you're looking. I agree at top edge is Not the way to See where you are going. Perhaps trim it down? Better ASK the wife first
(P.S. I Do realize this bike/screen is your Forza

Can you trim the Givi? I am 5'6" and sit with a 32" torso, so was wondering how this would fit for me. The dealership charges $162 for the shield, plus labor.
