Best drive face option?

There have been multiple threads on variators and the different options, however, what about different drive faces. What are the different experiences you all have had with aftermarket drive faces? I've heard of Advance pro and Kitaco but what others? what are your opinions?

Have you got your bike running yet?

I've got the ncy variator and drive face, stock clutch, bored out exhaust with pod filter directly attached to throttle body. 77 max speed.. in my test results the stock drive face limited the bike to 71

The ram air way gone before I got to see it. I got a new advance pro drive face along with a daytona variator with the interchangeable ramps and a new daytona belt (same as last time). It runs 75 on a flat with 2/3 throttle. Hits 81mph on the stand. My last highway tank got me 85mpg. I'm happy 8D also had my 120/70-14 come in the mail yesterday and my 140/70-14 will be here on Monday. I went with Pirelli Diablos.

So, my 1st PCX150 came with the NCY SUper trans kit and was limited in top speed due to the stiff contra spring that came with the kit. With the rear clutch assy re-installed just running the variator and NCY drive face, I get an indicated 79mph.

On my new PCX150, I got an NCY variator only and used the stock drive face only and got 72mph with a new belt. Just put on the NCY drive face and it's now hitting 79-80mph on the centerstand. Good stuff. Both the above examples are with the OEM rollers.

So, I guess what I'm saying is that you do need to not just get the variator, but make sure you get the aftermarket drive face if it doesn't come with it. I purchased both separately from CorSport for about $85 shipped.

You said it hits 79-80 on the centerstand. Have you tried it on the road? There seems to be a major difference when the bikes are put to the test on the road. I think I read on this forum that someone else had run their bike on the centerstand and he was disappointed when he took it on the road.

the top speed that it hits on the center stand is the top speed the bike will actually go. this is because the speed sensor is directly in the rear trans of the bike. now it all depends on how heavy you are, what kind of resistance is holding you back. bigger tires, wind, etc...

I can personally attest to the fact that the NCY variator and drive face will get you to 77-78 down hill and 72-74mph on flat.

You're damn skippy! I weigh 245Lbs and am limited to about 60Mph if I duck & tuck.

From what I have read in other postings, 225 pounds is about the max you want to weigh if you don't want to be held back.
(Under 200 would be better)
I have to do some real performance upgrades or if I want to be able to get on the speed limiter consistently.
(It feels great when I can take advantage of a hill or tail wind)

I love how small and nimble my PCX is so trading in for a bigger scooter would be my last resort.
The Yamaha T-Max is intriguing but overpriced and larger.

- Stock engine
- Drilled stock Muffler
- 13 gram Dr. Pulley sliders

Ok, update...real world results.

NCY variator w/ NCY drive face and OEM rollers 77mph max speed with only 150 miles on the odometer (so, ne belt)...just like dem0nk1d.
Not sure why my otther scooter with presumably identical parts goes 2mph faster, unless there's been something else done to it I don't know about.

Will this fit my 2013 pcx 150? Thanks for any help. Part numbers will help. I just don't want to order the wrong stuff.

Yes any pcx 125 variator parts will also fit the pcx 150. Just understand that if you wan it to perform at its best.

Test on a 125 with a 100kg (220) rider yield 115 kph indicated about 105 real this on a flat road, about 3kph faster if you were 150 ibs. Downhill about 125-128. so being heavier works going downhill !

Uphill obviously you suffer a penalty and you will drop to 92.

Don't be too hard on yourself ;) it is the wind resistance which is effected by your size not just the weight and wind resistance is the major factor at higher speeds.
