Oil Change

So I have a 2013 US PCX 150 and I hit 600 miles and tried to do an oil change. Well, the drain cap wouldn't budge and I think I accidentally stripped it. To hold me over I just put in 1/2 quart of 10w-30 on top of the existing oil. Is this ok?

More in depth answer, NO! First of all, did you check to see if it was low before adding oil? You MUST check it with the bike on the center stand. Pull the dip stick out, wipe it off, and then put it back but do not screw it in. Now check it again. If it is over full you can do damage to the engine. To drain the oil: The oil drain is on the bottom of the bike. Remember, "Righty tighty, Lefty loosely". What you want to do is make the bolt go counter clock wise. Imagine the bolt as a clock, and your wrench is the hand of the clock. If you are on the right side, which you should be, put the wrench or ratchet on the bolt with the wrench/ratchet straight out with its handle pointing to you Now push the ratchet toward the back of the bike. If you have to, for leverage, hold one hand over the bolt to keep the socket from coming off. To do your first oil change you may have to get extra leverage or smack the ratchet handle with your palm to break the bolt loose. Use a #12 socket, not an sae socket. If you have rounded the bolt head by using the wrong socket, try to get the correct socket to fit and hold on tight. Then have a friend put a small pipe on the ratchet for more leverage and have him try to break it loose. Be careful because you will be right in the line of fire, so to speak as he will be pushing the ratchet toward you while you hold the socket onto the bolt with one hand. I hope this helps. You can drain the oil 2 different ways. You can take the cap bolt off which has the oil screen behind it. It is on the the side of the engine. The drain bolt is on the bottom of the engine. The oil will drain from either one of them. It is best to start with the bottom drain bolt, then the oil screen cap (side drain). Always use a 6 point metric.

Can someone tell me exactly where the cap bolt is and the easiest way to remove it? I'm sorry for the questions, it's my first scooter and I don't want to ruin it by leaving dirty oil in it. A picture would be AWESOME but I could deal with just a detailed desc.
Also, IF the drain bolt on the bottom is actually stripped, I can just drain oil from now on using the cap bolt method? Thank you!

Thanks but i'm still confused on PCX MAN's second oil option. I would like to use that one. Do you mean oil filter instead of oil screen? Is it the huge bolt on the left side of the bike? (opposite of exhaust.) thanks

You can use the huge bolt on the left side of the bike (opposite of exhaust) to do your oil changes if you want. I just find it to make more of a mess that way. You don't have to use the bottom drain bolt if you don't want to.

The bolt on the side you need a 17 mm socket for has the wire screen filter in it. You should remove it as well as the lower 12mm drain screw and clean out the screen. There is a spring in there as well. There is no oil filter other than the wire screen.

I appreciate everyones help, this is very frustrating. I do not have a 17mm socket for the left side, and my 8mm socket to use on the bottom just slips right off because I really think the bolt is stripped. Does anyone have any advice for me? Thanks again.

I'm not sure what the 8mm your removing is but if your needing help you'd be better seeking someone who can look at the bike for you.
