What does it take to total?

So I laid by bike down today. Last thing I remember was turning onto the highway that is under construction and an hour later I am in a fellow students car and he is helping me. Looks like my e brake is pushed all the way out. Looks like I hit a patch of gravel in the construction zone but short term memory loss keeps me from remembering

Did you go to the hospital? Bikes can be replaced, you can't, and memory loss means you NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR.

As for the bike, only the insurance adjusters can say that. Fairings are cheap, but if the bike sustained any frame or engine damage whatsoever, they're likely to total it.

Can you take pictures of the damage?

Crashing is just part of the learning process.
But don't feel you have to repeat this class...
When I were a lad I did it far too often and it turned me into a cantankerous boring old git

Whoa!! That was scary I bet!
Loge you forgot stuff for a good bit of time. Do you remember anything better now? You say you're "fine," that soreness will follow. Okay...but what damage "did You" incur from this fall/slide/crash? Would you please elaborate? You can tell we all are concerned.
The bike? Not concerned about (just yet).

Looks like around $300 in parts plus labor if you can't tackle it yourself. The panels are cheapest at the dealer. They aren't hard to replace either. Been there done that. It was $120 for parts but I didn't damage the headlight or the trim piece for the headlight. I think that side panel was $28 from the dealer and they come painted.

Lol. Bikes in back yard. Police report will be done by Monday. Looks like we might have to fight against the cit for having a freaking pile of gravel in the middle of the state highway with no signs. That's what the officer told me.

Thank goodness you're okay. Don't worry about the scooter. Take care of yourself. You are lucky, it could have been worse.

With my accident it was $250 in parts and another $461 in labor. The most expensive part is going to be that turn signal. That alone is $79. They replaced almost everything on the left side for me although I didn't damage the e brake or the headlight. Even though the accident wasn't my fault, I went with my insurance to fix the scooter. I paid the deductible so now I'm waiting for a check for what I paid from the other person's insurance. I'm glad I have full coverage insurance.

Take care and I hope that you feel better.
