I installed a new spark plug on my pcx 125 at 5000 miles. The original spark plug looks like it's new. The manual states that dark to light indicates good condition and excessive lightness
indicates malfunctioning ignition system or lean mixture.

How was your spark plug at 5000 miles? Was it dark to light brown or was like new?

Pulled it at 5k, and 10k. Readjusted the gap to spec, and used it again. I switched at 100 miles to a Iridium tip plug. I'll check it again at 15k and see if to replace or not. I have 2 more ready to go. Should have enough spark plugs to last the life of the scooter.
