Worsening oil leak leads to valve check

The PCX has been using oil for a long time but it's gotten worse, lately. Have to add every 200-300 miles. Knew it was probably coming from the
Valve cover, as it was dripping on the exhaust header. Never any evidence on the garage floor since it vaporized on the exhaust. Bit the bullet
and decided to fix it...and do the valve check while in there. [first one] The scooter runs as well as ever. Even so, The valves were spot on! Wasn't
expecting that. Went ahead and cleaned the valve cover/ gasket and put the sealant where recommended and buttoned it back up. Letting it
sit till tomorrow to give the sealant time to cure. Still amazed that valves needed nothing. Think I'll keep her, even if it didn't cure the leak. : )

An addendum to the above. Know that it's hard to believe....I'd be right with you had I not "lived it". Pretty confounding..... Needles to say,
That will be my last valve check. This PCX will be with me till one of us dies!

How many miles on the bike?

I have over 7k miles and never had to adjust the valves once. Spot on at 6k.

There was a guy over in Greece that was on here a few years ago that had way more miles. He had done some serious modifications [maybe a rebuild] But the Honda Helix is also known for topping 100k , no problem. They filter the oil with a thimble screen also. What amazed me, was finding the valves didn't need to be touched! Pretty sure the leak is fixed but time will tell.

Was wondering if the "Roller rocker arms" might have been a factor in the maintaining of the valve settings. I'm quite sure my checking was valid.
Accepted,004" in the intake, 006" unaccepted. The 009" accepted in exhaust, 011" unaccepted. No obvious evidence of oil leaking, but it appears
it is still going somewhere?? Not going to obsess about it since it's been using oil from day one. Still runs very well though.
