Heat Crack in Frame

Was wondering if anyone else had this happen... Last winter, we brought my PCX down to Fla. I noticed after we brought it back, when I was cleaning below the windshield, that the very top of the FRAME, under the black part of the windshield, had melted and cracked!!! It was the intense Florida sun! I equate it to holding a magnifying glass on something in the sunshine. So, now, I put my gloves in the black area when I park the scooter, and put my fluorescent green riding shirt over the top of the windscreen. I have kept an eye on the crack and it does not seem to be getting any bigger.

Picture would help. I can't see the frame (metal) cracking from heat and sun. This is heavy gauge steel here! Melts at thousand degree temps! If the frame is cracked, the bike is most likely totaled in the eye's of insurance, and at the very least DO NOT RIDE IT!!! It is very dangerous!

now, if you are talking about body panels and plastic, well that is entirely different.

Ok, now please try to provide us with a picture. I have an idea about it but want to see the picture first. Also, do you have a Givi windshield on it or is it still stock?
